Shadowlands Karen Grierson

Karen seems to think that juggling three jobs across two diverse career fields isn’t chaos enough, so she regularly takes 3-4 months at a time to throw into theatre productions. After working under Anita Kilgour in KWLT’s 2006 farce, What the Butler Saw, Karen directed three KWLT mainstage productions of her own (2007′s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, 2009′s Les Liaisons Dangereuses, 2011′s Frankenstein) before arranging to be Anita’s first Guest Director under TenBareToes’ banner with Shadowlands. In spite of developing a reasonable hand for deeply-character-driven dramas, Karen also looks forward to the day when she can direct a script that doesn’t involve killing off characters or making actors’ eyes glaze over with her profound relational insights. For now, she thanks her cast and crew for once again following her into some incredibly deep and dark waters, and hopes you appreciate the story they’re about to tell you.
