Ciaran Myers is a recent graduate of the University of Waterloo’s Drama department and is itching to work in the theatre world as a writer and actor. His first play, The Cave, was directed by him and produced at the University of Waterloo in the spring of 2007 then published with a handful of his own poems later that summer. Since then Ciaran has written two more short plays, one full-length, and always has some project on the go. Before pursuing an education in theatre arts, he started working as a professional Irish dancer, sharing the stage with Loretto Reid, Rawlin’s Cross, Brolum, the Royal Canadian Highland Dancers, and HAWP. His acting credits include Radu in Caryl Churchill’s Mad Forest, Lucius in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, and Woyzeck in a short adaptation of Georg Buchner’s Woyzech. He was also an ensemble member for three different runs of the new play Differ/End by Gill Garratt. This is Ciaran’s first speaking role outside of the world of the University since he started in 2005.
