The Taming of The Shrew Polly Edwards
Polly has been involved in theatre for a good decade or so now, and still can’t get enough. Locally, she has performed with Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre, the Royal Medieval Faire, Robin in the Hood, FASS at UW, and various local film projects. She’s also done shows at UBC in Vancouver and in her hometown of Markdale, Ontario. In addition to acting, she’s written songs with her band Clever Girls which appeared on the soundtrack for a recent indie film, and is currently working on the music for another local film project as well.
As acting goes, she is often cast as a crazy old lady, so she is very much looking forward to playing a relatively sane young lady for once instead. She’s also looking forward to further honing her stage combat skills with Nick as she learns to beat him up properly. Having worked with Nick, Anita, and Shakespeare all before, she is very excited to be involved in this production. It’s going to be a terrific blast, with a terrific cast, and a terrific crew, and she hopes she’ll make a terrific shrew. She can’t wait to get started!
