The Taming of The Shrew Brian Gashgarian
Brian’s first foray into theatre was with the FASS Theatre Ccompany, an experience so ridiculous and entertaining that he was thoroughly hooked from then on in. When Anita Kilgour cast him in The Three Musketeers, Brian was first introduced to two things that he would come to love: KWLT and stage combat. Moving on to a villainous fighting role in the Royal Medieval Faire, and then on to KWLT’s swashbuckling pantomime Captain Hook’s Revenge, a show in which he played a pirate, Brian’s interest in stage combat quickly became a passion. After doing some training with Nicholas Oddson, Brian did some choreography for KW Youth Theatre’s production of Macbeth, and ran a stage combat workshop for them. When Brian isn’t play-fighting on stage, he plays guitar and sings with his metal band d’Archangel all over southwestern Ontario.
This will be his first experience acting in a Shakespearean play, but can’t wait for the opportunity to work with Anita again, and can’t wait for the Athos, Porthos, and Aramis to share the stage again (albeit with different roles and in a different play)!
